Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What to expect in a service.

Draping is required for most of our services. This is to the comfort level of the client. Only the area that is being worked with is exposed. Draping is tucked professionally.

    -Clinical massage

    -Traditional massage

    -Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

    -Visceral manipulation (only sometimes)

Our staff uses Biotone Muscle and Joint cream for massage services. We do carry Jojoba oil that is hypoallergenic and is available upon request.

All our service times include the robing and disrobing time.

Tipping is at the digression of the client.

  • Pediatric Services

Our pediatric services are performed by staff trained by institutions that focus on our smallest clients. We work patiently at the pace of the child. This means that the service may be 60 minutes but hands on time will be less.

We have a play room attached to treatment room #2 to make our smallest clients feel at home.

All our toys are disinfected following the service.

We highly suggest bringing your child’s favorite things to the session:

    -security blanket/ stuffy

    -toys/books

    -snacks

    -hydration

    -bottled breast milk if breastfeeding

It is common for the guardian to be fully involved in the session:

-you may lay down with your child on the treatment table (you may be asked also)

-breast feed your infant while receiving therapy

-hold your child while receiving therapy

    -child led play

We also recognize that your child or infant may cry!

  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

We take this service seriously and do not bend in our policy and procedures with this modality.

    1. The individual must be able to clear their ears easily. Free of nasal congestion such as a common cold and no fever are also important.

    2. 100% cotton clothing is required (we have a set you can borrow)

    3. No electronics in the chamber. (you are welcome to set your phone on the portal window and play your own music/podcast/ etc.

    4. If entering the chamber with a child the “dive” will be slower to accommodate little ears. The treatment time may be shorter. Soft toys, books, etc. may be taken in the chamber.

    5. We unfortunately do not accommodate active chemotherapy patients due to medication metabolism.

    6. We will need a written script for clients with memory disorders or disease as well as autism. This is a safety precaution.

    7. There are other precautions that should be discussed with our technicians before your first service.

    8. Some conditions require a hard chamber for therapy and you will be consulted on that before your session.

  • Cancellation Policy

We require 100% of the booking price if canceled withing 24 hours of the scheduled service.

We understand that some situations are out of control of either party. With this in mind, the fee is waived for illness of the client or someone they are directly caring for such as a child, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstance.

We have a heart we promise ;-)

  • Somato Emotional Release

It is common place, but perhaps not talked about enough, for a client to have an emotion response during bodywork.

This is called an Somato Emotional Release or SER. The SER may be a memory, previous physical or emotional event in nature or other cause. The client may also not be aware of the root. The body “keeps the score.”

Our staff is trained to handle such a response in a professional way.

Full confidentiality is kept, of course, in these instances.

Our staff has a few resources to share if the client is interested.
